The fries were crispy, and a good-sized portion. My friend had the fish sandwich (the special of the day) and really enjoyed it. Wih its inviting atmosphere, attentive service, and flavorful dishes, this spot left a good impression. We'll definitely be back! ”
“ Yesterday a friend and I sat at the bar having a drink on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Patrick and Allison were behind the busy bar and provided attentive, professional service. They made time to engage with us so we felt welcomed. Because I have managed a bar and restaurant I noticed how the staff works. Each staff member that passed made eye contact, smiled, nodded as did the manager, Eduardo. We complimented him on the professionalism of the entire staff....not just front of house but even the kitchen staff who were bringing in needed items. What a pleasure to feel welcomed in a restaurant and nice to watch a team working together with "please" and "thank you's". Well done Cafe Luxembourg, we will be back. ”

Prices are commensurate with the quality of all three experience elements, making for a restaurant offering a good value. What did we eat? Steak tartare (appetizer portion), excellent Country frisee salad, excellent; topped with a warm poached egg and tossed with warm bacon lardons Chicken au jus, excellent half-chicken Fish and chips, very good; classic frites are excellent in a generous portion SHOUT OUT to Alena and team for elegant and thoughtful service TIP good value TIP good occasion restaurant TIP short walk to Lincoln Center theaters. TIP dining available at the bar. ”

“ Simply stellar dining minus two things: Firstly fab French brasserie interior. Our waiter was aces. Ate: Salmon with wild rice mushroom sauce $35 Moules with salad $31 Housemade chocolate ice cream $6 Gruner wine $17 The food was super duper both dishes & the creamiest ice cream. The bread was not good. Is it too much to ask a French restaurant to have fresh crusty bread? That could've ruined my meal as both dishes had the most dippable sauces. Two: wines were pricey in my opinion, but the bread service should be re-thought and this is a destination. ”

And the tarte au citron was a perfect end to the meal. Daiquiri was inventive and delicious. We sat outside and it was nice to be in their enclosed area with a fan overhead as it was a super hot night...love the inside decor too. ”
